Smelly dolls... Any tips?

We recently got two second-hand dolls from ebay. When they arrived we noticed that they didn't smell that good. Like crayon and musty. [img]graemlins/thumbs_down.gif[/img]
So we are going to try Joy's method, and wash their bodies. (Thanks for putting together the great album Joy. [img]smile.gif[/img] )
Has any one else tried this? Any other tips?

We used Joy's instructions on an Ebay doll last fall. Her hair is still a little dry but she is so much better! Some people talk about the smell of new dolls. For me the smell of Downey does it now - LOL. Good Luck. I think you will be very pleased with the results.

Well, we did it! One of the dolls got the whole deal (downy dunk, and her body got washed in the machine.), but the other one only needed the downy dunk. It worked quite well, and the smell is diminished. Hopefully now the smell will wear away with time. I will try to post a few pictures, within the next few days.
